Uzbekistan's ICT sector has made significant progress. The country has achieved major advancements in ICT infrastructure, internet penetration, and skilled workforce development. The government has identified developing the ICT sector as a priority for the country's economic growth. Its ICT development strategy focuses on three main areas: infrastructure development, human resource development, and promoting innovation and entrepreneurship. In terms of infrastructure, the government is investing heavily nationwide to expand ICT facilities, including developing fiber optic networks, building data centers, and introducing 5G technology. It is also making significant efforts to increase internet usage, aiming for broadband internet coverage by 2030.
