The global ICT market has grown rapidly in recent years, with a market investment of nearly $5 trillion in 2023, especially driven by digital transformation, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things, and the popularization of remote work, e-commerce, and intelligent manufacturing has further promoted the development of ICT, and the market investment is expected to exceed $6 trillion by 2027. As a key player in the Belt and Road Initiative, the Kazakh government attaches great importance to the development of ICT and has invested heavily in the construction of digital infrastructure. At present, Kazakhstan's ICT market is dominated by telecommunications and data services, and is gradually expanding into data centers, e-government and smart city construction. Kazakhstan's ICT market is on the rise, with a market size expected to exceed $1.3 billion in 2024, and with policy support and the growth of the digital economy, the market size may exceed $2 billion by 2029, with a compound annual growth rate of 9% between 2024 and 2029.

The growth of the ICT market in Kazakhstan is driven by several factors. First of all, Kazakhstan ranks among the top 30 in the world in terms of e-government, and the government's "Digital Kazakhstan" plan provides strong policy support for the development of the ICT field. Secondly, Kazakhstan's Internet covers more than 90% of the population, with more than 18 million users, and the national e-commerce transaction volume will exceed $5.3 billion in 2023. In addition, the introduction of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and cloud computing further promotes the digital transformation of enterprises and industries. The Kazakh government strongly supports the development of the ICT industry, actively promotes the digital economy plan, introduces the "Digital Kazakhstan" development strategy, and is committed to accelerating the construction of information technology infrastructure and the popularization of digital technology. The government also provides various forms of financial support, tax breaks, and incentives to encourage domestic and foreign businesses to invest in the ICT sector.
